How to Check All Subscriptions on Debit Card

By Jim Marous 11 Min Read

You might have good banking experience with your current bank, however, you need to fish out pesky subscriptions that seem to multiply on your debit card statement. I will help you to check all subscriptions on debit card without missing even one of them. You can then cancel the irrelevant services you no longer need.

Recurring subscriptions can hurt your monthly budget. One minute you’re enjoying your Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, and the next minute, you wonder where all your money went without even realizing it.

Usually, these subscriptions are managed by Apple Pay and Google Play subscriptions. You sign up for streaming services, and before you know it, you lose track of them. They typically hide in your bank statement. Also, you may have signed up for free trials that sneakily turn into monthly subscriptions.

I recently uncovered 6 active subscriptions I was no longer interested in. Now, I will show you how I managed to check all subscriptions on my debit card. You will also be able to manage your subscriptions going forward.

How to Check All Subscriptions on Debit Card

How to Check All Subscriptions on Debit Card

Inspect Your Bank Statement

When you want to check all subscriptions on debit card, often, the first step is to review your most recent bank statement. Your bank statement will give you a clear picture of the recurring charges being deducted from your account.

Go back and analyze your transaction history over the past few months to identify any subscriptions that may not have been charged recently but are still active.

You have to review your accounts regularly. Also, set a budget to manage your finances and keep track of all your subscriptions. You want to be sure that you are paying only for the services you use.

Check Google Play Subscriptions

On Android, you check all subscriptions on debit card in many ways—either by using your mobile device or a computer.

On mobile app

  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Tap the menu button associated with your account.
  3. Select Payments and subscriptions to bring up a list of all the recurring subscriptions on your debit card made through the Play Store.

These are the apps that regularly charge your debit card. Each entry will provide you with detailed information such as the billing frequency, the amount you’re being charged, and when the next payment is due.

If you want to manage any of these subscriptions, tap on the one you’re interested in and update your payment method by tapping Update. If not interested anymore, select Cancel subscription.

On web browser

  1. Go to the Play Store web portal.
  2. Click My Subscriptions to show you your subscriptions.
  3. View the payment details for each one. If you need to update your plan or cancel a subscription, simply click Manage next to the relevant subscription.

Use a Debit Card Subscription Tracking App

You can also check all subscriptions on debit card using subscription trackers. They typically provide a comprehensive view of your subscriptions. Some of the apps you can use to check your subscriptions are:

Rocket Money (formerly Truebill)

This tool tracks your subscriptions and provides a breakdown of your spending, notifies you of upcoming charges and even helps you create a budget. It can negotiate your bills and offers a concierge service to cancel unwanted subscriptions. However, it does have a premium service that costs between $3 to $12 per month.

AskTrim.com (Trim)

With Trim, you will get SMS text and they offer a 14-day free trial. It scans your bills and texts you to get permission to cancel any subscriptions it finds.

Trim can also negotiate your cable, internet, and phone bills. However, it has a less-than-average Better Business Bureau score and charges a one-time bill negotiation fee of 33% of total annual savings.

PocketGuard

Use PocketGuard to track your everyday spending and create savings goals. This app has a free version for basic budgeting and a premium version that costs $34.99 per year. The premium version allows you to check all subscriptions on debit card and cancel them.

Chase Saved Account Manager and Eno—Capital One Assistant

These tools are specific to Chase and Capital One credit card users, respectively. You will be able to monitor recurring payments, receive notifications for irregular charges, and get personalized spending reports.

Netflix

If you have a Netflix subscription, you can cancel the account from the Netflix website.

Sign in to your account and cancel your account from the account settings page. Note that simply signing out of your account or deleting the Netflix app from your device does not cancel your subscription. After you cancel your account, you will still be able to use Netflix until the end of your billing period.

Spotify Premium

Below are the steps you need to follow to cancel your Spotify Premium:

  1. Log into your account on spotify.com/account.
  2. Under “Manage your plan,” click Change plan.
  3. Scroll to Cancel Spotify and click Cancel Premium.

Your Premium subscription will remain active until your next billing date. You will still have access to your playlists and saved music, but you will have ads when you switch to the free version after your billing cycle. If you pay through iTunes, you can follow Apple’s steps to cancel.

Check Subscriptions on ProBiller

With ProBiller, you can check all subscriptions on debit card and cancel them. You need to contact ProBiller’s customer care agents following these steps:

  1. Call ProBiller’s customer care at +1-855-232-9550. They are available 24/7 to assist you.
  2. Alternatively, you can start a live chat with their customer care agents on their website.
  3. You can also contact them via email or Skype at +1-855-716-6513.

Customer care will assist you in stopping any recurring memberships and answer any questions you may have about your account or billing. If you have multiple membership packages, you will need to cancel each one individually.

Check Apple Subscriptions

If you use iOS devices, any app or service you subscribe to is linked to your Apple ID. You can check all subscriptions on debit card on your iOS device in simple steps.

On mobile

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Select iTunes & App Store.
  4. Tap your Apple ID (displayed at the top of the screen).
  5. Choose View Apple ID. You might be prompted to verify your identity by entering your password or using Touch ID or Face ID.
  6. Find and tap the Subscriptions option to bring up a list of all the subscriptions tied to your Apple ID.
  7. Finally, tap any subscription to see more details, including the option to change your plan or cancel the subscription altogether.
  8. If you decide to cancel, simply tap on the Cancel Subscription button at the bottom of the screen.

If you check all subscriptions on debit card and cancel them, your account will typically remain active until the next billing date.

On Mac

  1. Open the iTunes app.
  2. Go to the Account menu.
  3. Select View My Account, and then View Account.
  4. On the next page, scroll down until you find the Settings section.
  5. Look for the Subscriptions heading and click Manage next to it to bring up a list of all your subscriptions.
  6. Click the Edit button next to any of them to change or cancel your plan.

Check Subscriptions with Mint

Mint puts your debit card subscriptions in one place. It also finds your recurring monthly payments to subscription services while excluding bills such as electricity and gas.

To view your subscriptions in the mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Select Monthly from the bottom menu
  3. Scroll down and tap Bills and Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Subscriptions. You can now check all subscriptions on debit card.

If a subscription is missing, it can take up to 7 days for Mint to add a new subscription to your list.

Check All Subscriptions on Debit Card Bank App

If you use the Bank of America app:

  1. Type “recurring charge” in the search “How can we help?” bar.
  2. It should then ask you, “What kind of recurring payment would you like to view?” Select “View recurring charge or subscription”…

Your monthly, semi-annually, or other recurring charges should appear here.

You will find the cancel feature in the payment activity section of Transfers. You can also request to cancel a recurring payment by calling Bank of America at 800.432.1000 (consumer accounts) and 866.758.5972 (small business accounts). If you are outside of the continental U.S., call 925.681.7600.
